La Liga Santafesina renombró su predio en honor a Nery Pumpido. Además, modificó el nombre de sus canchas en reconocimiento a los campeones del mundo santafesinos Leopoldo Jacinto Luque y Pedro Pablo Pasculli.

Este viernes por la tarde la Liga Santafesina homenajeó a Nery Pumpido haciendo oficial el cambio de nombre al predio en un acto que contó con la presencia de varios campeones del mundo del 86, entre ellos Oscar Ruggeri, Ricardo Giusti, Jorge Burruchaga, Carlos Tapia, Héctor “Negro” Enrique y Julio Olarticoechea.
El predio, que antes llevaba el nombre de “Fraternidad Deportiva” ahora se llama como el histórico jugador de Unión y dirigente de Conmebol. Además, la cancha número 1 pasará a llamarse “Leopoldo Jacinto Luque” y la número dos “Pedro Pablo Pasculli”, en reconocimiento a estos otros dos santafesinos campeones con la Selección Argentina de Bilardo.
Además, también estuvieron presentes Leandro González, presidente del Concejo de Santa Fe, la diputada Clara García, el presidente de Unión, Luis Spahn, entre otros dirigentes del fútbol santafesino.
